Saleem was invited given his role as an alumnus of the Bellagio Residency with the Rockefeller Foundation and being a member of the United Nations International Resource Panel and also on the UN Secretary General's Advisory Board on Zero Waste. He also wrote an accompanying article for Forbes on the idea.
