Dr. Kamran Asdar Ali, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Critical Pakistan Studies, was recently featured in a video where he presented his aspirations for Critical Pakistan Studies to be a high-standard, first-rate, and top-tier interdisciplinary source of information on Pakistan. Critical Pakistan Studies is a new open-access journal published with the support of Cambridge University Press that tackles broader interdisciplinary issues in addition to Pakistan and Pakistanis.

Result of the AIPS Presidential elections!!

The results of the AIPS Presidential elections is out. Farhat Haq has been elected to a 3-year term as the President of AIPS. Her term of office is October 1, 2017 - Sept 30, 2020.
Please join us in congratulating Farhat Haq and in thanking both her and Iftikar Dadi for their commitment to AIPS and for their willingness to serve. In addition, let's thank the nominating committee: Matt Cook (chair), Farina Mir, and David Gilmartin, for assembling such a strong ballot for consideration.
Please note that since Farhat Haq is currently the AIPS Treasurer with one more year left to her term, her election as President now means that AIPS will need to elect a new Treasurer. The Executive Committee will convene a new nominating committee and begin the process so that a new Treasurer-elect can be ready to take office as of October 1, 2017.
